I bought the RN10200 over ebay some days ago
On the bottom i see
Produkt: RN10200
Seriennummer 3ERB49EM00A83
MAC 28:C6:8E:36:FD:45
FW: V 6.1.8
It was bought
2014-12-07
and registered 2014-12-10
for the person from which i bought it.
Now i cannot connect to READYCLOUD
I changed the firmware to 6.10.00. T185
With Firmware 6.9. I had the same problem so i tried to use the Beta Firmware
I hope that you can help me to change the MAC-Address and that it shows the correct serialnumber
Thankyou for your help thanks in advance and excuse my bad english
With best wishes

This is a problem most commonly seen on RN100/RN2120 when updating from pre-6.4.x firmware to 6.4.x or later but it could happen on other updates too.
This is an easy problem for level 3 to attempt to fix, however as it’s a second hand unit purchasing support wouldn’t be an option.
It does need to be fixed for you to be able to use ReadyCLOUD.

Re: RN 10200 Serialnumber shown is: N0NE000200000 correct is 3ERB49EM00A83; MAC-Address is not corre
The serial number isn't a factor with ReadyCloud. The problem there was that you were running 6.1.8 firmware. You need at least 6.8 to connect to Readcloud. You should be able to join ReadyCloud with 6.9.x or 6.10.
There are two possibilities I know of on the serial number. One is that you purchased beta hardware. That shouldn't have happened, as the folks who participated in that beta were told they couldn't resell the units. The purchase date is too late for the beta though (that happened in 2013), and the beta hardware wouldn't have been purchased anyway. So if that info is correct, then you have a different problem. The second possibility is that there is some issue with the EEPROM that holds the serial number.
Netgear doesn't provide support for used equipment, and you can't register used equipment either. So there is no need to fix the serial number problem. If the NAS is working, then just let it be.

Re: RN 10200 Serialnumber shown is: N0NE000200000 correct is 3ERB49EM00A83; MAC-Address is not corre
Thankyou for your very fest answer
When the first user bought and registered the NAS it has have the firmware FW: V 6.1.8. When i bought it now it has the Version 6.9.1
I changed to 6.9.4 and afterwords to Beta 6.10.0 becouse i read, that newer firmware fix the error.
But nothing happens.
And I cannot join with BETA 6.10.0 to ReadyCloud.

After you turn on ReadyCloud via the cloud page of the web UI, are you seeing the two green indicators for connectivity on that page?
Have you assigned the NAS a static IP address or is it using DHCP?

Does anything change if you disable ipv6 in the NAS?
Also, can you confirm that the NAS is reaching the internet? Turning NTP off and on again is one easy way to check.

I disabled IPv6 but nothing changed
I don't know if the NAS is reaching the internet. It is sending normal things per email for example the server goes down etc.
I do not find NTP
I have now installad all possible services but nothing changes.

Re: RN 10200 Serialnumber shown is: N0NE000200000 correct is 3ERB49EM00A83; MAC-Address is not corre
NTP: Network Time Protocol. That is used by the NAS to set its clock.
If you navigate to the system tab of the web UI, and then click on the settings wheel next to the time, you will see a checkbox labeled "Synchronize clock with an Internet server". If it is checked, try uncheck it, and then click apply. Wait a few seconds, check it, and then click apply.
Then go to the log page - you should see an entry saying that the NTP service was successfully enabled.
Finally download the log zip file from the log page. Look in connman.log. You should see recent time adjustments - stuff like
Nov 26 00:15:33 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): -0.001492 sec Nov 26 00:32:37 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): +0.002414 sec Nov 26 00:49:41 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): +0.000483 sec Nov 26 01:06:45 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): -0.001189 sec Nov 26 01:23:49 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): +0.001039 sec Nov 26 01:40:53 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): -0.002253 sec Nov 26 01:57:57 NAS connmand[5625]: ntp: adjust (slew): +0.003737 sec
If the service is successfully enabled, and you are seeing these adjustments, then the NAS is reaching the internet time servers.

Re: RN 10200 Serialnumber shown is: N0NE000200000 correct is 3ERB49EM00A83; MAC-Address is not corre
The NAS is connected via a switch to a Fritzbox 7490.
The Fritzbox assigns the NAS an IP address.
I have registered DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and also 8.8.4.4.
When I try to connect to READYCLOUD I get the message 24002000011.
The problem seems to be that the Nas also enters the Ethernet address 00: 50: 43: 02: 00: 00 as a serial number,
although on the device on the bottom this
Serial number 3ERB49EM00A83
and this
MAC address 28: C6: 8E: 36: FD: 45
are registered.
If I change the IP address to static, the serial number immediately changes to NONE000200000.
Then I get the message when I log in to READYCLOUD that the NAS is configured incorrectly.

Hi Jochen_Dohse,
Can you enable the SDM (Secure Diagnostic Mode) on the NAS? We will check if we can apply the fix. You can enable it by going to System > Settings >Support then check the Secure Diagnostic mode. Please PM me the 5-digit code after enabling it.

Hi Jochen_Dohse,
The fix has been applied on the NAS. You may now check if you can connect the NAS to ReadyCLOUD.
