I have the ReadyNAS 212 with firmware 6.9.4 Hotfix 1. When I click "check for updates" it says a new version 6.10.2 is available, but when I click "Update". I get the error 6001010056. I have tried to cloud update with no luck. I have downloaded the arm version of the firmware and tried to update manually but get the error "file is missing or corrupt".
I also tried to install Plex Media Server (for RN2xx) from the admin interface and via the manual download and upload but this has failed also.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Snowman8,
The issue could be network related. There might be a network filter that is going on or something.
We are getting "hash sum" errors when trying to check for updates. We also tried downloading Plex and it is the same.
The NAS cannot successfully download the deb file from the server itself for whatever reason, but when we go to manually install it, we have to get dependencies and they have a similar problem. It is almost like network traffic being intercepted.
Regards,

Re: ReadyNAS 212 won't upgrade or install apps! Help!
Maybe obvious, but did you use just the .img file from the zip, not try to upload the whole zip to the NAS for the local update?

Re: ReadyNAS 212 won't upgrade or install apps! Help!
Hello Sandshark,
Thank you for the suggestion, yes I have upload the .img file.
I have also tried to reboot the NAS and turned off the anti-virus. Still NO LUCK!

A too full OS partition can cause problems like that. Have you seen any warnings about that in the log?
Clearing the browser cache or even switching to another browser can sometimes make a difference.

Re: ReadyNAS 212 won't upgrade or install apps! Help!
Running RAID 1 with 2.4 TB of free space. I don't see any errors in the log. I did download all the logs is there a specific file I should look into? I have cleared the cache and have used both Firefox and Chrome browsers, with no success.

Take a look at volume.log Scroll down to the === df -h === section and tell us how much free space there is in /dev/md0.
Also a bit lower down there is a === df -i === and let us know the IUse%

This says it's not a full OS partition.
I suggest putting the full log zip file into cloud storage (google drive, dropbox, etc), and then sending a downloadable link to one of the mods ( @JohnCM_S or @Marc_V ) and ask them to analyze it. Send it via Private Message (PM), by clicking on the envelope link the the upper right of the forum page.

Re: ReadyNAS 212 won't upgrade or install apps! Help!
A BIG thanks to @JohnCM_S!! He narrowed the issue down to a network issue.
The NAS is connected to my Orbi router via two chained switches. After reading his message today indicating a possible network issue, I plugged the NAS into the the first switch skipping the second. I restarted the switch and it errored again. I rebooted the NAS and turned off anti-virus and it updated!!
I turned anti-virus back on. I tred to install the Plex server. It errored out. I turn off anti-virus and tried again with no success. I left the anti-virus off, rebooted and then I was able to install Plex server. All is working great!
