Re: ReadyNAS Device Compatibility List
With p9, you can use up to 3 x 750GB. You'll need to wait for p10 to use 4 x 750GB or expand out the existing 3 x 750GB to 4 x 750GB.

How about HP 720 Printer?
I have a HP 720 printer and it shows up and shares out. I install the driver and it shows the printer as ready.... When i print nothing comes out. Should this printer work, or is there a possibility of getting it to work?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: ReadyNAS Device Compatibility List
Hmm, I would think that HP would work. What Windows version are you using?
If it's not too inconvenient, you may want to continue to use the printer locally until the next RAIDiator version is released. It has some major changes on the printer support side of things.

I am using the ReadyNAS NV on my home network with a Linksys RV082 router/8-port switch/firewall and it works perfectly.
I just checked your compatible equippmentlist and saw that the Linksys RV082 is not listed (although several other Linksys models are). So I thought you may want to add this to your list.

Re: ReadyNAS Device Compatibility List
It just occurred to me that you could use the following color scheme in your compatibility list:
bold green = Infrant certified
bold yellow = Customer certified and/or Infrant reviewed (e.g. like the recent non-US RAM sources)
bold red = Incompatible
blue bumpers for recently added things...

For the UPS, did you run-down the battery and check for graceful shutdown?

Re: ReadyNAS Device Compatibility List
Not yet. The UPS is plugged into an outlet that is blocked by a heavy bookcase -- so it may be awhile before I can unplug it. I don't really want to start flipping breakers. 🙂
Here's something odd I just noticed about the UPS. On the Health page, it claims the battery charge is 120%/45min. 120%?

OK, I'll hold off on putting the UPS in our list. I haven't seen these UPS's before. Do you know if they're rebranded?

Re: ReadyNAS Device Compatibility List
I can confirm my GigE switch works fine with the ReadyNAS NV.
Netgear ProSafe GS116 (GigE, Jumbo Frames, 16 port, non-managed).
Have not tested the jumbo frame feature.
Much to my delight, GigE works fine on a home Cat 5 network installed nearly 10 years ago.

Samsung SCX-4521F
I have successfully shared the printer in my Samsung SCX-4521F all-in-one under XP. Printing works fine and is pretty fast.
Is it even possible to share a scanner over the network? I wouldn't think so.

tg3, have you verified performance with IOMeter? It'll be good to get jumbo frame numbers before we put it on the list. Thanks!

Maxtor 500 GB Drives
Just thought I'd let others know about my experience with Maxtor drives. I purchased them prior to getting the NV but my experience has been nothing but joyful.
I have 2 6H500F0 (firmware HA431C00) for almost 7 months now without a problem. Smart+ shows no errors of any kinds (besides some Hardware ECC errors, ok) and they have been up for over 800 hours and have over 360 start/stop counts to them as I put the NV to sleep every night.
I just added a 7H500F0 (firmware HA431DD0 - I should have bought these originally as they have the 5 year warranty) about a week ago and so far no issues at all.

Incompatible UPS
I got the Maruson Technology POF-400US from here and it is not detected by the ReadyNAS NV. I bought an APC UPS but you may want to add the Maruson to your list of incompatible.
On a different note thanks for a great product! I was quite pleased when my SlimServer seemed much more responsive after the latest firmware.

I guess i might try to contribute here as well.... Eaton Powerware 3105 is INCOMPATIBLE as far as UPS goes. NV just wont seem to notice it.
