Hi,
Just wondered if there's anyone out there who has successfully upgraded their RN31600 NAS - I need mine to do some transcoding for the installed Plex server? I can see articles that have upgraded 516 to 716, moving from core i3 to Xeon E3-1265 V2 - does the 300 series have the same motherboard as 516? If so I can follow these...
Any help would be really appreciated...

Oh no ;-(
Guess I should've done more research before buying.
Thanks very much for your help!

Re: ReadyNAS RN31600 CPU & Memory Upgrade
You can't do it. The RN316 uses a D2700 atom chip that is soldered to the motherboard.

Re: ReadyNAS RN31600 CPU & Memory Upgrade
You could upgrade memory, but I don't think that will help much with plex.
