Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

@Franklyn-Turner are you clicking update distribution after you've adjusted those values? If you haven't and that is why it's not saving then leaving it on the QoS page won't be doing anything - there are not many scenarios where you need to allocate bandwidth specifically and with share excess enabled any device will take what it needs regardless of the allocation - if those devices aren't using their entire allocation. Congestion Control is what gets eliminates the lag there.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

Yes sir i do i doble check that every time but like i said if i close the page or lets say i go to back to dashbord it resets randomly some time instantly sometimes not and yes ive tried other browsers and no luck there either. and i do have share excess enabled but my ps4 will only pull 50 down on lan cable unless i go into the qos and set it to my 450 mbps down then it will download at 250 mbps but i belive that is becuase sony caps ps4 dowloads speeds to 250 mbps but not sure there but yes this happens with and without  congestion control on or off and i have an A bufferbloat score either way so i dont think it is that.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

@Franklyn-Turner are you changing the bandwidth on the popout menu when you click a device on the list or are you doing it on the main 'flower'?

Both ways either way it resets maybe i can record a clip and post it here so you can see what it does.

OK that might help, thanks.

Did you factory reset after upgrading to this latest beta firmware?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

Yes i did this moring to try and see if it was my old settings left before i did the factory restore but nope and now i am getting weird things like it saying r apps are not loading and my connection benchmark is giveing me crazy highbufferbloat scores and it seems to be coming from my download speeds they are up in the 100+ms even after many reboots of the router and modem i even tried to load my back my old settings from my cfg settings and it didnt help same things are happening so weird kinda wish i left it alone lol.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

Rapps not loading should be resolved if you do a reboot from the interface. Connection Benchmark still needs to be improved so you can take those results with a pinch of salt, it's unlikely to be an accurate representation

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

Yes i understand that but i wasnt getting these reasults a few weeks ago when i was testing my QOS numbers and yeah it says R apps not loaded and i rebooted 3 times and only a few say it others dont but i will keep and eye on it and see if anything changes.

I've asked for an update from the team to get a better idea of when we can expect one, I won't be able to give a date but I can imply how long it might be

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

is the IPv6 a netgear problem?

It seems to affect my phone Galaxy S8 and using an app like Twitter kinda fails to retrieve any internet data till I either reapply my IPv6 settings or disable the feature all together.

I really don't want to disable IPv6 because it lowers my in game ping to almost -29 ms in most servers while keeping it strictly to IPv4 pushes the latency to almost 80+ ms in most servers.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

It would be yes, what IPv6 option are you using? If you use another does that seem to work better?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR450)

I am using DHCP and I think the results are kinda the same when using 6to4 tunnel.

I haven't tried everything else yet as I'm not familiar in config this feature.

Try fixed instead and use the info from that screenshot, that may give you some more stability
