AC3200 R8000 wifi range problem
I have a problem with the stability and the range of the wifi.
I have high speed acces from modem with optical fiber.
firmware V1.0.4.68_10.1.75
using cat 6 cable 10m
Stability, i can have full speed on my connection and suddenly it is gone, but is back again within secounds or minuts.
the problem is bigger the longer distance from the router, with distance i mean 5 meter sitting in front of the router it is fine, but going to a room next door also 5 m distance, then the connection starts to be unstable and loose the connection. it is very sensitive, if i lay my phone on a table, then connection is gone, if i take it up in my hands then it is on again.
Livingroom is 10m away, and here it is very often gone unless it is direct connection.
when i check the speed, it can be full speed, but moving 2 m to the side, then it drops from 50 to 10 or loose connction.
it feels like the speed is fine but the range is and "power" is not existing.
I replaced a 5 year old router with the new fansy nighthawk, and then the problem started.

Since the install of the router, did you ever try a factory reset and reinstall? The R8000 more than likely did quite a few updates since it was new and maybe an old setting is causing issues.
