Block Device Access to Internet

I have searched, but I dont think I can find the info I am looking for. I have IP cameras on my network. I would like to prevent them from accessing the internet. How do I do that within the router? I don't want to do it on the camera side (I want to avoid the backdoor issue, etc).

Thanks

Hi pmp6nl,

You can try the block services.

Block the port number that the IP cameras uses to access Internet. (For example port 553 for HTTPs websites and 80 for HTTP).

Check under UPnP table if your camera is showing and check for the port numbers it uses.

Hi pmp6nl,

I just want to verify that you want the IP cameras to still be connected to the network but no internet access, is that correct?

Re: Block Device Access to Internet

Hello,

Thanks. So I can use that function to select the ports I want to block and tell it to only block those ports on the camera by using the ip address function. But I assume there is no way for it to differentiate wan and lan? For example on the lan I want it to be able to access port 80, but I want that port blocked to wan. Does that make sense? Thanks

Re: Block Device Access to Internet

Hi pmp6nl,

The block services blocks connection outside your network. It will not block the local access.
