I can't pull up the website and do the firmware update. Safari and Firefox won't load the site. I have tried on my iPad and Mac computer. Also when I load the Netgear page that is the instructions on doing the update it states that only Netgear models listed can be updated and my model is not listed.

_Which_ "the website"? "can't" or "won't" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual, showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

I know nothing, but I wouldn't expect the procedure to vary much among extender models.
