Hi guys
I have a question, the answer to which I have not been able to find explicitly, therefore I hope for a quick OK / not OK from you:
I would like to use the triband technologie the R8000 provides, i.e. activate Smart Connect / Load Balancing. Does this only work in the 5 Ghzs bands, or can the router also connect clients to the 2 Ghz bands?
If the latter is true, then I would need to give the 2,4Ghz band the identical SSID of the 5 Ghz band, correct?
Otherwise, if it only works accross the 5 Ghz bands, I could keep the SSIDs distinguishable?
Thanks

Balancing means between two radios. 2,4GHz band has only one radio vs, 5 GHz band's two radios.

R8000 manual - Smart Connect. Page 72. You should always distinguish between 2.4 and 5ghz in SSID labels.
