I have just had Sky ultrafast broadband(g.fast) (145+) installed and want to use the D7800(latest firmware). I have gone through the advice of various forums and it still does not connect.
This is what I did:
Chose the manual set up and the following:
UK
Sky
VDSL(PTM)
VDSL2
LLC-Based
Use VLANID - 101
Does not require a logon
Auto IP
Auto DNS
I used the MAC address of the Sky Hub 4,2\SR204 router
Option 60 - I left blank
Option 61 - 1234567891011@skydsl|89a12345
Any help would be gratetly reveived.
Thanks

Which is it? Look at the product label.

Use as a modem? Why? Have you found any evidence that the D7800
supports g.fast?
> [...] (latest firmware). [...]
As always, an actual version number would be more useful than your
opinion of what's "latest" today.
> [...] I have gone through the advice of various forums [...]
Think, for a moment, about how little useful information that
non-description conveys to the non-psychics in your audience.
> [...] and it still does not connect. [...]
What kind of "not connect" is this? LED indicators? Error messages?
Any useful information at all?

Traditionally, Netgear firmware has had trouble with some special
characters in PPP credentials, so I would not be amazed if that "|"
caused trouble there. If, that is, the physical DSL link were good. I
wouldn't bet on it, but you might try adding a "\" before the "|".

Re: D7000 Sky Ultrafast Broadband
If you have nothing valuable to say, instead of wasting my time and yours just leave the keyboard alone!
A much better answer would of just been, do you know if the netgear D7800 supports G.Fast?
And yes the username is correct based on previous posts on this forum.
The reason I mentioned the latest firmware is because it is based on the website not my own opinion.
And one last thing, the model type is correct, the reason I know is because I copied it off the Netgear website!AC2600 Nighthawk® X4S VDSL/ADSL Modem Router

Agreed !!!
Indeed, you can use a generic string in the DHCP 61 field so yours would be 123456789101@skydsl|89a12345
That being said, I'm pretty sure the D7800 doens't support G.fast, so you won't be be able to get a connection...
