D7000 random disconnections after firmware update to V1.0.1.80_1.0.1

Hello,

After updating the firmware to V1.0.1.80_1.0.1, something funky started happening on my router.

Every second day or so, the internet and wifi connections will drop.

All the lights on the front of the router stay on (including the Internet light), but every device in my house can no loger connect.

Strange thing is, it also won't connect via ethernet.

Even ping'ing the device gives me "PING: transmit failed. General failure"

I need to do a hard reset on the router to get connectivity back.... which wipes the log files so I can't see what might be happening to cause the issue.

Sometimes it'll have a good run and stay up for a few days, other times I'm resetting the router up 2 or 3 times a day.

At this point I'd revert to the old firmware if I could.

Can anyone tell me what might be the problem.

I could understand if another device was causing interferrence with the WiFi, but even the ethernet connection is going down.

Thanks!

Have you tried simply downgrading a version of the firmware? maybe the version you're on causes issues.

Please visit and post about this over in the DSL Modem forum:

Maybe more information to help you out there.
