Re: DST adapter 6501 not Pairing with Router

History? New installation, or something changed, or what?
"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
> [...] When trying to add it, [...]
"trying" how, exactly? What's plugged into what, where?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
the LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot". Pay particular attention to
the installation instructions like:
Note: Do not plug the power cord into a surge protector.
and:
/!\ WARNING:
Do not plug the DST adapter into extension cords, power
strips, or surge protectors.
Further reading might not hurt, either.
Try using outlets which are closer to each other?
> When trying to connect to the SSID it fails
"When trying to connect" _what_ to which SSID? Regarding "fails",
see "not a useful problem description [...]", above.

According to the User Manual, there are four LEDs on the DST Adapter.
What does Netgear call what you call the "led for network"?
> [...] Since I can't get it online [...]
"it"? "online"? You don't need an Internet connection to communicate
with your local gizmos.
> [...] I can't use the web interface or app.
Says who? What happens when you try? Regarding "can't", see "not a
useful problem description [...]", above.
Rather than offering your explantion of what "can't" work, have you
tried following the instructions? Then, perhaps, report what happens,
when you do that?

Re: DST adapter 6501 won’t connect to Router no network
Solid blue power
No other lights on.
What are you taking about I don’t need internet to communicate with the adapter?
There not communication coming from it to the router whether it be network or whatever your talking about.
The interface doesn’t work because you can’t get the thing online. It says you must be connected to the damn thing in order to communicate with it. Whether using app of web.
Thing
It
Whatever
We are only taking about the adapter/extender
When I try to connect to the interface it says I need to be connected to its network. ITS NOT ONLINE DUHHHH.
What do you think I’ve been doing. I’ve walked through the instructions. Clearly your a d bag and only offers criticism not actually troubleshooting advice. Guru haha
