Detetcs all storage devices as 200MB
Hello, I am connecting my 1TB hard drive to my netgear router and it is being detected as a 200MB drive. I decided to switch to mac and it still showed 200MB, then I had tried to go into the router settings and it was detected as a 200MB drive. Also it does not detect any files at all.

Re: Detetcs all storage devices as 200MB
I know nothing, but I've read claims that the (not especially
competent) ReadySHARE software deals with only the first partition on a
storage volume. If that first partition is some (small) "recovery" or
"EFI" partition, then you might see only that.
In that case, you'd need to repartition the drive so that it contains
only one partition, and initialize that one partition with one of the
supported file systems. Unless, of course, you really wanted to keep
the existing partition scheme for some reason, in which case, you'd be
doomed.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for a topic like
"USB Storage Device Requirements".

It seems that if I need a driver, I'm stuck or i can follow your instructions and partition the drive.

If you needed a driver, then you wouldn't have seen that small
partition.

I know nothing about your computer(s) or your (unspecified) "my 1TB
hard drive". I suggest that you look for information about how to
partition/format a disk drive using whichever computer OS you have.
