Dual Band issues on R6799
I used the Smart Connect to broadcast a single SSID (which I was going to do manually anyways). I have a Roku Premier connected via WiFi which can use either radio and my iPhone which can do the same. While I use the factory remote a lot, I still like to use my phone to control it often as well. Most of the time, there isn’t a problem, but the times that there is, I’ve noticed that one device is on one frequency and the other device is on the opposite frequency. You would think that as long as I can see the Roku from my network apps on my phone, I should be able to control it but that isn’t the case. It doesn’t work unless both are on the same radio. Does anyone know of a way to keep using the single SSID tweak but also be able to cross whatever invisible wall there seems to be between the two frequencies?
