Help with connecting Nighthawk as a Wi-Fi extender
Hi all!
I recently dusted off my old Nighthawk router as I switched to a new system a few years back. I went through the Netgear guide to see how I could connect it as an extender to my Non-Netgear router that I am currently using. When I went to routerlogin.net and followed the current guide, I got stumped as there was no Router/AP/Bridge/Repeating Mode. I looked up some older guides online and it showed their screen having that option. Am I missing something or is the option no longer available?
I also tried to connect it as a Wireless AP, but I want to use it as an extender without an Ethernet cable.

Re: Help with connecting Nighthawk as a Wi-Fi extender
the R8000 doesn't have an extender or repeater mode. Just an access point mode.
so you'd need to hardwire it in in some fashion. Whether that be using powerline, ethernet, or moca adapters.
