Does the stock firmware provide any means of external data logging?
Like a secret way to setup/enable SNMP?
Or direct the logging output to an external server?
Because the useless little log view window just doesn't really cut it, and having to email the log anytime you wish to look it over is just absurd.

There is no SNMP support, for any of the Netgear home router gear, in stock firmware.

Re: Is it possible to setup SNMP or remote logging on the R8000?
Any idea behind the reasoning on that?
With a price tag of $300, I sort of expected it to be closer in functionality to a "business" type device than a basic home unit. A bit disappointing, especially since the third party firmware options that actually allow you to use utilize more of the hardware's potential all have some serious problems.
Appreciate the reply, will mark answered shortly.

I hear you on that. The high price pays for the more antennae's and higher wifi and CPU chip. It's still dumbed down firmware, with an underwhelming feature set.
