Hi there
Just bought my R8000. I have wired my iMac, Apple TV, NAS, and Pioneer receiver. 2 issues:
1.Some of the LAN port LEDs are red.
2. Apple TV is definitely plugged into LAN port 3, but in the Attached Devices page, it shows as port 2.
3. there are 2 items in the Attached Devices list that do display a name. Can I name them for convenience sake?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
John

Because those devices are not Gigabit/1000M or your device setup and or cable is bad, This info is in the manual regarding LED status
2. Apple TV is definitely plugged into LAN port 3, but in the Attached Devices page, it shows as port 2
Does it actually say port 2 or is it just the 2nd wired device on list?
3. there are 2 items in the Attached Devices list that do display a name. Can I name them for convenience sake?
I don't have my r8000 online But I think that's done in access control edit.

Re: Lan connection LEDs, device names, and LAN connection numbers
1. I moved the cord and the appliance to different pan ports, and the red leds followed th appliance. Must not be gigabyte because they are all working fine.
2. I am not at home, but I am pretty sure the numbers on the modem are 1-4, but my computer shows them as 4-1. Not a biggie.
3. I wasn't able to rename them on my phone, but was able to do it on my Mac.
So, thanks again. Very helpful!
