My X6 R8000 is very unstable - Had to switch back to my retired R7000
Hi All.
I have an X6 R8000 with the latest Firmware. I wasted my money on that device at Christmastimes time.
I am a System / Network engineer that works from home.
I had a major problem with my R8000 at pick time of supporting clients.
That was a disaster as my Router decided to stop working and reverted its settings to factory.
Luckly I have my old R7000 still availabel as back.
My retired R7000 save the day.
Now I have an R8000 For sale.
When My R7000 dies, It will be the last days of having NetGear products after over 20 years.
Very disapointed.

What problems are you having with the R8000? What have you done to try to fix them?
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.
