NETGER AC1200 NOT CONNECTING
I have just purchased the AC1200/EX6120 range extender.
i am currently trying to set this up and bottom line is its not working!
I am in the same room as my router and i have tried the WPS method. I press the button on the extender then on the router, both buttons flash and i never receive a solid green button.
However when i look at WIFI networks i can see both of the extended networks but when i try to enter the right password the device light comes on momentarily goes off then i am told it's the wrong code. That happens on both extended wifi channels.
When i try to use the browser set up, i open the WIFI settings and it does not show me the NETGEAR option to choose and do that way.
please help.

Prior to trying to set it up using the installation assistant, did you factory reset it?
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
Then try using the installation assistant

oh i have only pressed factory rest for a second or two so shall try that.
what's the setup assistant?

Oh the factory rest button worked and brought up the NETGEAR wifi.
now for some reason i can get as far as putting in the wifi passcode and it just doesn't connect

what router are you connecting it to?
And what area specifically are you talking about? Logging into the extender or actually setting up the routers connection?

it is a technicolour router.
When i am trying to set up the wifi extender, so when it asks me to input the wifi codes for both the 2.4 and 5 channels on the NETGEAR set up website that's when it either kicks me out to the beginning again or says that the password is not correct even though i know it is

any special characters or spaces in the password?
Firmware on the extender?
