Netgear Nighthawk Router(R8300) not receiving XFinity Gigabit speeds. Speed throttled to ~530mbps
If PC is connected directly to Motorola MB8611 Docsis 3.1 router, I get ~930 mbps. I'm on most recent firmware.
PC hardwired is getting about ~530 mbps
WIFI is getting about ~300mbps
Dynamic QoS is off.
I manually defined download speed as 1000mbps.(upload 40mbps).
Any ideas?
Is this router able to get ~930mbps with hardwire???? This is crazy.

It should be able to hit gigabit wired.
Try factory resetting it back to stock.
Test it right from stock and see what speeds you get.
during the reinstall make sure to leave access control, parental controls, qos, and traffic monitoring off

Re: Netgear Nighthawk Router(R8300) not receiving XFinity Gigabit speeds. Speed throttled to ~530m
OK, SUCCESS! Access Control was turned on and when I turned it OFF, my wired speeds jumped to ~930 mbps.
Now, what about the WIFI. Why does my IPHONE 12 MAX PRO, only get ~317 mbps. Should I at least get ~600??
What is the botteneck? Thanks!!

Re: Netgear Nighthawk Router(R8300) not receiving XFinity Gigabit speeds. Speed throttled to ~530m
What actual link speed are you connecting at with your iphone 12? I know the Iphone 12 is AX capable but the R8300 isn't.
Link speed isn't the same as actual throughput speed. Depending on efficiency, the throughput can be 55-65% of the link speed (roughly).
