Netgear ac1750 port forwarding not working

I am trying to setup an arma 3 server and no matter what I try the port forwarding will not open the ports. Here is how I have things setup.

Arris sb8200 modem
Modem shows security type is dpi+(dont know if this matters as it is something the ISP has set and I cant change it even if I wanted to.)
Netgear ac1750 router
Firewall disabled on router
Firewall disabled in windows
Static ip set on pc (192.168.1.6)
Port forward set to 192.168.1.6 port 2302 udp/tcp
Upnp disabled
Arma server up and running

Port test shows 2302 closed. Port test from outside the network also shows closed.
Tried without ports set and upnp enabled and still ports are closed.
What is going on here? I can provide pics of all settings if that will help.

Re: Netgear ac1750 port forwarding not working

So I plugged the computer directly into the modem and tested ports again with the arma server running and still it says the port isnt open. Windows firewall is off and no other firewall software is used. Does this mean I might need to call comcast and see if it's something on their end?

   Simple modem.  Should be harmless.

> Netgear ac1750 router

Not a model number.  Look for "Model" on the product label.

> Firewall disabled on router

I don't know what that means to you.  What does Netgear call what you
did?

> Static ip [address] set on pc (192.168.1.6)

   How, exactly?

Terminology: A "static" address is configured on the device itself.
What you configure on a (DHCP server on a) router is a reserved dynamic
address, not a static address.  Either one should fix the address of a
device, but some implications are different.

Generally, using DHCP address reservation (on the router) is simpler
to manage.

What kind of "Port test"?  At which address?  From where?  As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

> [...] I plugged the computer directly into the modem and tested ports

   "tested ports" _how_, exactly?

> [...] with the arma server running and still it says the port isnt
> open. [...]

   "it"?

Unlikely.  Your ISP can't stop your local activity, and it's unlikely
to stop your external activity.

While I understand you annoyance, the point is valid. We don't know what you are doing and where it goes wrong.

Ignore the snark and deal with the questions.

To begin with, your footer says C6300. That's a Netgear cable modem/router. Are you really using that alongside an Arris sb8200 modem?  Not a good idea.

AC1750 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag – I can find about a dozen AC1750s –  but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

It may be some time before the images land. To ensure that you aren't posting anything naughty, a Netgear moderator has to approve the pictures.

You can attach images to messages without any delay.

Re: Netgear ac1750 port forwarding not working

so did a steam server query and steam sees the server as up and running. still no one can join the server... dont get how steam can see the server up and running and that the ports 2302 and 2303(steamquery port) are open but no one can join.
