Manually update FW on the router if this isn't seen on the routers web page:

Re: New - R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 Released
Hello Everyone, i have seen several and several topics about the R7000P droping the wifi several times. I am really tired of this situation, y really messes around with my home office job. I disabled the MIMO functionality and for some time, it gets stable but fails after some demand from my devices (2 phones, 1 laptop, 1 tablet). Have anyone found the right firmware/solution? I will try to put this new firmware and any ideas will be welcome. Have a good one!!!

R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 is so broken
-Editing device names
-Setting static IPs
If this was a security update that worries me cause the most basic functions don't even work.....some of the tabs crash when editing settings.....installed clean did not use a configuration backup....craziness, get on it please.

Re: R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 is so broken
I haven't seen much for reports on that version of firmware (which we'd usually see).
I'd try reinstalling the firmware again (maybe it was corrupted during the install) and doing a factory reset/reinstall again.
make sure to install over a hardwired connection for best results.

Re: New - R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 Released
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
How is the Advanced Wifi settings configured?
Is Smart Connect enabled?
Is Armor, Access Controls, QoS or Traffic Meter enabled?
Be sure to factory reset and setup from scratch after loading FW.

Re: New - R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 Released
Rolled back to previous release and my issues were no longer a concern, tried everything with the recent release and it just proves that it's flat out broken, functions are not working period, biggest being able to set static IP's. That release didn't automatically update either I had to push it manually even though my router is set to automatically update. Just not worth it. Rolled back to 1.3.2.134.

Re: New - R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 Released
I have installed the newest firmware as of a month ago and had some time to evaluate how it works within my network and I can say that it functions as advertised in comparison to that abomination that was released prior to firmware V1.3.3.154_10.1.86. I have tested all the functions basically over the last month and all of my previous concerns are no longer an issue.

Re: New - R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.148 Released
Glad its working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
