Night Hawk R8000 Is the worst product I've ever bought
If you're doing research on this product, don't buy it. Literally no customer service support options after the first 90 days and it doesn't work as advertised. Tried creating a help thread here and got zero reponses. The least I can do is warn other people not to waste their money on inferior products or scams like this one.

Lets troubleshoot this first before falsely claiming this router is bad.

Re: Night Hawk R8000 Is the worst product I've ever bought
Oh hey, I got a reply! Here is my issue with no replies: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/Night-Hawk-R8000-Open-port-44158/m-p/2150111...
If you don't want to click through, here is a copy:
I need to open port 44158. I've setup port forwarding and when I check it on https://www.portcheckers.com/ or https://canyouseeme.org/ it says it's blocked. The device (helium miner) cannot connect to the internet even though it is hard wired via ethernet.
These are the current settings I have for port forwarding:
-I have set the helium miner to the
10.0.0.10 IP Address (static)
Service Name: HELIUM
Protocol: TCP (I've also tried TCP/UPD, did not work)
External Port Range: 44158 (I've also tried 44158-44158 range to see if that worked as per another thread on this forum, it did not.)
Am I missing something obvious? Let me know what additional information I need to supply.

Re: Night Hawk R8000 Is the worst product I've ever bought
whats the modem/gateway in front of the R8000?
With you being on the 10.0.0.** IP subnet, its tending to indicate your gateway has its own routing features.
That'd be a key in figuring out the port forwarding.

What do you think this place is?

Perhaps no one could understand you.
Or you were too quick off the mark. I can see no unanswered questions from you.
Now we have two conversations going on:
