Nighthawk AC2200 EX7700 — How to remove from network
I bought this mesh extended while living with a relative and needing the wifi to reach further. Worked great, good product. I am now moving out and am taking the extender with me, when I unplug the nighthawk the wi-fi for the whole house goes down. How do I remove this from the network and return the house to the basic wifi network that it was before. The network before was just Comcast internet through the combo modem router unit (Motorola ac1900 router with modem)

None of that is a model number. I wouldn't expect any of the
non-psychics here to know what you disabled on that (unspecified) "the
combo modem router unit", whatever it might be, when you connected the
EX7700 to it.
Based on no useful information, I'd probably try to reset that
(unspecified) "the combo modem router unit", whatever it might be, and
reconfigure it as if this were a new installation.
In any case, if it's a Comcast-supplied gizmo on the Comcast network,
then I'd guess that calling Comcast might lead to some help. I'd bet
that they could reset/reconfigure the thing from their end.

Sounds like whoever installed the EX7700 did something to disable the wifi from the Motorola device.
To revive the Motorola wifi, you need to deal with the modem router. The EX7700 is a red herring.
Maybe it is something as simple as pressing a wifi on/off button on the Motorola box. Or just turning it off and on.
I'd track down the Motorola manual and start there.
By the way, when you say "the whole house goes down", maybe it is because people are looking for the wifi from the EX7700. Peraps the Motorola wifi is there but people aren't looking for it.
Hard to tell from your description.
