I have a paid subscription to Surfshark.
Please note I am a total Novice I just want an easy way to install it on my router I am going round in circles searching everywhere. People talk as thought everybody is tech savy. Can anbody point or explain in the right direction Please...

Re: Nighthawk R7800 X4S AC2600
This isn't supported on the R7800. I believe there was a initial beta back then that NG and Duma loaded on R7800s during this time frame. Then after the XR series routers were officially released. NG removed support for the Duma OS on R7800s. Only R7800 stock FW is officially supported on the R7800. This would not be support or allowed on R7800s. Unless you modified the Duma FW to load on the R7800, then that's your choice. NG and NetDuma develop the Duma OS only for the XR series of routers. Adding features as well isn't supported. Only what comes loaded in stock FW is supported.
If your wanting to do more with the R7800, I recommend trying Voxel FW for the R7800 over on smallnetbuilder forum:

Re: Nighthawk R7800 X4S AC2600
Ah I see...so someone may have been on the beta team back then or could have modified the Duma OS to load on it and didn't remove it.
You can try putting the stock FW back on using the web page UI, I believe that should work. IF not, you may need to use the TFTP method to directly put stock NG FW back ON and blow the Duma OS away.

Indeed. The first DumaOS router was built around the R7800 hardware.
But that was in 2017 and the two OS systems parted company a long time ago.

Yep.
There was someone I made contact with a few years ago that could make mods. But that didn't seem to last.
