I recently updated my Internet to 1G, how do I verify that the speed to my router is 1G and it is working properly?
The Nighthawk mobile application has a good internet to router throughput test. It excludes web sites, web browsers, and Wi-Fi from the test.

Run a Speedtest, preferably with an app on your PC, not a browser.
The Nighthawk app will test the speed between the router and the Internet.
Do not, whatever you do, make any tests using wifi. They will never get anywhere gear 1 GBps with that router which is, to be frank, pretty basic. Released in 2018, it is based on a box first shipped in 2014.

Google for a speedtest site? Many out there
Not really a recommended approach. Too many intermediaries can get in the way.
I'm with @Kitsap on the app, just about the only use for it.
I also make regular use of the Speedtest "app" for Windows.
Speedtest for Windows: Internet speed test for Windows
That avoids imposing anything between the router and the test site.
