R6400v2 fluctuating internet speeds
My router is currently having various internet speeds. We pay for 200 Mbps download, but the router goes up and down from 200 to 130 to 20 and back up constantly. We had our ISP come out and check every wiring and our devices and saw that the router was the only one having problems. He said our modem stayed at a consistent 240, but the router would change numbers constantly. He said the router was messed up, but it is not even two years old yet as of the purchase date. It currently has the latest firmware on it, V1.0.4.106_10.0.80. The problem started two nights ago, but really started weeks ago with the speeds changing only from the 160-200 range. This problem is for both wired and wireless as well on the router. So is our router messed up or is there something I can do to fix it?

Re: R6400v2 fluctuating internet speeds
try installing version 1.0.3.66 of the firmware to the router. Then do a factory reset and a clean install (not from backup). Just get the basics of your internet connect. don't change anything else. Then try testing your speeds. (disable auto-updates if it helps).
Make sure to leave qos, traffic monitoring, access control, and parental controls disabled
