Which light? There are six or more on the front of the R6900v2.

Does the router work?

What firmware did you install? 

Like @michaelkenward says, what light is the one blinking? Theres several on there and each mean different things? 

Is it working? 

Did you try a factory reset (if you have issues)? Its usually the first place we start if there's issues after changing firmware.
