R7450 NIGHTHAWK Router Internet issues
I'm currently experiencing internet issues with my R7450 nighthawk router. My home internet speed is roughly 60Mbps and usually has 6 to 8 devices connected to it. Not all of these devices will be using the internet at the same time though. My main issue is when one of the laptops at my house is doing somthing my ping/lag skyrockets on my gaming pc. My gaming pc is hard wired in to the router and the laptops are all wireless. I tried setting up a qos for my gaming pc but it didnt seem to work. Can someone help me with why my wired PC is slower than/recieving less bandwidth than the wireless devices on my network?

Did anyone ask where you got it?
An actual maker and model number would be more helpful than where you
got it. Is it actually "a modem", or is it a modem+router?
If your (unspecified) "a modem" is actually a modem+router, then why
are you using an R7450 with it? Do you have client devices connected
directly to your (unspecified) "a modem"?

Do you think that anyone here can see what you did? "seem"?

"disabled" how, exactly? Does the WAN/Internet interface of the
R7450 have an external/public IP address?
> [...] I'm not sure what you mean by client devices?
Computers, and so on.

Disabling its radio does not stop a router from being a router.
Cascading multiple routers can cause multiple problems.

Says who? Possibly interesting:

I didn't ask what they were. I asked if they were connected directly
to the C1100Z. If all your client devices are connected to the R7450,
then it should be possible to configure the C1100Z as a modem only, and
use the R7450 as your (only) router.
There's also another one-router configuration which might be
interesting, where the C1100Z is the router:
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Set up the router as a WiFi access point".
General advice: This whole Q&A thing often works better if every Q
gets an A. Look for "?".

I don't know. Does your "my hard wired PC" do any better if it's
connected to the C1100Z?
Of course, "my ping/lag skyrockets" is not a very precise description
of anything.
> Cascading multiple routers can cause multiple problems.
Still true. I'd try some scheme which involves only one router, and
see if it helps.
