R8000 limit on DHCP clients?

I haven't been able to find this issue anywhere, so a new post.

I'm running an R8000 with the lastest (as of 2022-10-21) firmware. My 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks have different SSIDs. The R8000 provides DHCP service to all connected devices.

However, past a certain point (circa 24 clients), additional client requests are ignored and aren't issued leases; they basically time out, and it appears the R8000 doesn't even notice the association requests nor log anything about the client request.

Is there some sort of limit on the number of DHCP clients allowed? I have more than 24 addresses allocated.

Thanks!

Re: R8000 limit on DHCP clients?

How many clients are you trying to connect to the router?

I had about 30-35 connected to my R7960P which uses same base code as the R8000P

Are you using IP address reservations for your devices or just letting the router give out IP addresses?

Are you using default IP address range?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

I've never seen more than 30 attached devices. Some have reserved IP addresses, others do not. I am not using the default address range. The logs show no record of receiving either an association or a lease request from the attempting MAC address.
