R8500 MU-MIMO support

Purchased this router 11 monts ago, was promised MU-MIMO support by the end of the year (2015).
Does the current firmware, V1.0.2.64_1.0.62, support MU-MIMO?
Also, random reboots still seem to be occurring, when will that be fixed?

Re: R8500 MU-MIMO support
You'll probably get the same answer the rest of us who've asked have been getting... "It's coming." This was supposed to be the top of the line, everything including the kitchen sink router. Oh well. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere since features aren't getting delivered.

Re: R8500 MU-MIMO support
OK, that's what I thought. I've been seeing posts about it being in "the next firmware update" since March.

R7800 works good on MU-MIMO. Read the review at smallnetbuilders.

Re: R8500 MU-MIMO support
We apologize for the delay.
MU-MIMO was included previously it's just that our engineers needed to work on it for better performance.
I was advised that MU-MIMO will be back on the next firmware release soon.

Re: R8500 MU-MIMO support
Elaine, with all due respect, this issue isn't resolved. Telling us it's coming doesn't deliver it to us. We all purchased this device thinking it would be enabled, and it's not. We have been patient that Netgear would deliver, and you haven't. This feels like false advertising from Netgear to a bunch of people who paid $300-400 for a top of the line router and haven't had full use of its functionality in quite some time.

Re: R8500 MU-MIMO support
Be lucky you are getting firmware updates. R8000 owners, same message, and no new firmware. Man, I miss ASUS.

Updated this morning without issue and all is well.
Took far too long to get here, but appreciated none the less.

Re: R8500 MU-MIMO support
Is there something else that needs to be set up with Mu-MIMO?
I have an HP Omen 15" laptop with an Intel Wireless7260BN 802.11 bgn 2x2 WiFi that is now testing at 20 Mbps downloads, it was download testing at 140 Mbps on the previous firmware.
My other laptop, a Mid 2014 Apple 15" Macbook Pro, which doesn't have mimo, is still testing at about 140 Mbps.
The new firmware seems to have slowed down my MIMO capable devices.
I have airtime fairness, beamforming and mu-mimo enabled, smart connect enabled for the two 5ghz radios and seperate ssid names for 2.4 and 5 ghz.
Other settings are Enable 20/40 MHz Coexistence checked on 2.4ghz, frag at 2346 and cts/rts threshold at 2347 for all radios.

I tested mine last week before updating. Could you compare your speedtest between IPV6 & IPV4?
