R8500 constantly drops signal and needs to be rebooted
I bought this router back in November for our vacation home where my husband often works from. Our wifi signal is constantly dropping. It looks like you have wifi and then it will not work or is super slow. Sometimes you cannot view all of the bands. We often have to unplug it to reboot it to get it to work. It has done this since we have purchased it but at first thought it was the cable coming into the house. Is there something wrong with the router or is it just a setting that I need to change? I am not very tech saavy and have resarched all I can to fix it but maybe we just got a bad router?? Can anyone help?

Re: R8500 constantly drops signal and needs to be rebooted
Welcome to the community, @tjo22950
Did you check for any other wireless devices that may interfere with the wireless signal of the router?
Also, try changing the wireless channel.
Make sure that you also relocate the wireless router in a higher place.
Avoid other wireless devices such as microwave, cordless phone, baby monitors and the likes.
By the way, which signal you're connecting to? Is it 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
What's the wireless device you're using to connect it to the router?
