Re: losing internet daily again
Does the Front Internet LED show any indications of something happening when you see this? Like maybe AMBER color seen on the Internet LED on the router or modem?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Re: losing internet daily again
had done all of that before.
No changes on the led. they think everything is fine.
Do you think the modem is the issue?
When I reset the nighthawk the iternet comes back. Don't typically reset the modem.

Re: losing internet daily again
Possible.
I'd power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON. Reset it as well and let it come to ready.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

Re: losing internet daily again
Have been here for two years and this problem just started. The line was newly installed two years ago.
And fully checked. Could possible have them recheck but seem a bite strange and restting the wireless router fixes the problem and not having to reset both items.
Even doing a reset in the menu under wirelss corrects the issue....

Anything could happen in two years on a ISP service line.

Re: losing internet daily again
I understand that. But would the modem reset itself and then cause the router to have to be reset?

Re: losing internet daily again
Anything is possible.
Would help to see your cable connection status page from the modem...
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

how do I get to the cable modem status page everything is wireless?
I'm guessing I would have to plug into the cable modem?

Re: losing internet daily again
You should be able to access the modems web page thru the wifi router at 192.168.100.1 in a web browser.
