Re: new router

I only know of 1 version of the R7000.  There may be different batches from the factory.

https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Nighthawk-AC1900-Gigabit-Support/dp/B00F0DD0I6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid...

Recommend you update the firmware to the latest, do reset with the button on the back, change the admin password, and reserve all your IP addresses.  Never change firmware unless you need to fix a problem you are having or there is a security issue that necessitates an update.

Re: new router

I have the R7000 and the R8500 (the beast ),

I like the R7000 for his simplicity but prefer the R8500 that is why I advised the 7000 because of the initial requirements.

I am thinking to buy the X-10!
