Enterprise Mesh on LARGE Residence

Hello, I'm looking for an enterprise solution for home use. The sky is the limit. I would like to create a mesh network for a home with an area of 15,000 square meters, approximately 20,000 square feet. The solution should be as simple as possible, and it would be great if it could be easily diagnosed.

Which Orbi solution would be the best? We're talking about a solution that can also be purchased in Spain, as it will eventually be installed there. The walls may also be made of glass or steel, which could be problematic. What solution do you recommend?

Will the Orbi 970 Series in the form of a 3-pack with 2 additional satellites be sufficient? Or should I opt for the Pro solution? Is the Orbi 970 available in Europe?
In general, the home where we want to install the system is a private residence for a billionaire. We are not concerned about costs

Re: Enterprise Mesh on LARGE Residence

I would opt for installing a wired network, with a central router, PoE++ switch, multiple Wireless Access points, optional some additional easy reachable outlets eg. in offices. Everything managed locally and over the cloud using https://www.netgear.com/business/services/insight/ for easy remote support and maintenance.

Stay far away from pure wireless Mesh systems - even if these devices allow some kind of wired backhaul - please design and implement some real networking instead.

Re: Enterprise Mesh on LARGE Residence

I'd like to use wired connections but i'm limited. This is expensive residence.

We are using right now; FG + Fortiswitch POE + FAP's but we would like to change it for some more simply.

Anyway, these access points have not enough coverage and I would like to use something more powerful.

I heard that Netgear has some cool solutions.

Re: Enterprise Mesh on LARGE Residence

Coverage can be enhanced by placing more access points - what requires cabling again.

Give them some time, WiFi 7 APs will certainly become available in Q1/2024. Yes, Netgear has excellent selection of switches and wireless access points ready to be deployed including Insight Management. Even the so new WiFi 7 router and the WiFi 7 based high-end Mesh system can only perform on a solid base - made up on MultiGig and 10 Gb switches.

Not much to argue against Fortinet - excellent enterprise grade firewall routers, switches, and wireless access points. Undoubted more complex to manage than Netgear Insight - at a much higher price point.
