New - RBE970 / RBE971 Firmware Version 9.12.4.16 Released (for NA Region Only)!

I have an iPhone 16 pro max and so far this firmware has been rock solid for me with no issues.

@Straq The only change was the change to WPA-3 only mode on the main SSID. Yes, I have reserved IPs for my RBE970s and 90% to 95% of my devices.  Most to all my devices are setup to have the 'private wi-fi address' function setup for off/disabled. So I don't have 10+ devices with rotating MAC address causing DHCP pool exhaustion issues.

I am still on 9.12.4.9.  I never got the update and when I check for firmware, it says up to date, even though it is supposed to be released in NA.  Never saw the update as a beta firmware and I have been waiting to see if it would be pushed through after public release and nothing.  I have check both the Orbi app and through the WebGUI.

Possible your systems serial numbers are not in the system or incorrectly input in the the AU system. 

Get your RBR and both RBS serial numbers and send @KevinLiT a PM and have them check to make sure they are in the AU system.

Don't know why that would happen now, as it has AU on its own with no issues prior to this. 

Maybe they haven't released to AU to everyone yet?

That's the reason I waited 2 weeks after the firmware was released from beta to see if it would turn up, but nothing.  I know the Southeast US is behind things, but normally not with firmware. 😋

I understand that you did not get firmware Version 9.12.4.16 pushed to your RBE970. The firmware Version 9.12.4.16 is being pushed out in batches. Your device states that it is up to date because the update has not been pushed to your device at this time.

In eight years, I have never seen a schedule from Netgear regarding release of firmware.  Some customers report getting notices via email about new firmware.  I have never received one of those, either.

When it comes out, there will be comments on the forum within hours.

Looks like this firmware is now released on the auto update of the orbi app, as it detected the update an installed last night, at least on my system anyways.   So hopefully that means it has been fully released in the wild to everyone in the NA region.

Yes, 9.12.4.16, as it wasn't showing up in the Orbi app as an available update for me at least until yesterday.  So, I presume it has been released for auto update on the app to more people or at least to those in the US and/or the rest of the NA region.

Yea, I was surprised it took so long as well to be distributed for AU.  I never even saw it as part of the beta either, so not sure what happened there.

I thought maybe they were gonna update again before releasing, since some individuals seemed to have some issues with this one, but then they posted to their website and now a month later, auto update.
