Buying spare parts for the MS510TX series switches
I have 2 multigig switches; A MS510TX and a MS510TXPP.
The fans in both are noisy. I've cleaned them, but I fear they have just worn out.
Can I buy replacement fans for them?
Does anyone know the specs (Voltage, PWM/DC, RPM etc)
One of the switches has a bit of a "whine" that gets almost as annoying as the fan noise.
They were purchased March 2019, but due to loss of income I cannot afford to replace them.
The switch is listed as a "Smart Managed Pro Switch" so I've posted in this sub-forum. Feel free to move it if it is in the wrong place.
This is not a business environment. I am a home user who just wanted something better than 1GB before 2.5GB became a thing.

Re: Buying spare parts for the MS510TX series switches
As these switches are coming with limited lifetime warranty, head to https://my.netgear.com/ , select the switch and serial number, view the details, and follow the [Request Hardware Support] process.
Should you have acquired your switches on the second hand channel, challenge Netgear Customer Service via https://my.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx
Depending on market and location, you will offered different choices. I'd suggest to select Business because your switches are SMB products. Before calling (and get a phone number) you need to briefly describe your request, similar as you have done on the community.
Keep in mind live services are expensive, so availability might not be available 24*7 everywhere.
Last option when it comes to out-of-service, unregistered, hardware, several sellers are offering fans e.g. on A*****, eB**, ...
Keep in mind shipping to the Netgear logistics does also causing costs for you as the sender.
Hope one of these makes a cost-effective solution for you.
Best,
-Kurt.

Thank you for your detailed reply.
I purchased the switches new from an authorized reseller.
I'm in Australia.
my.netgear.com stops with an error "The page isn't redirecting properly".

So all the rights on our side, convinced Netgear will accept the hardware warranty claim.
Start with clearing the cache from your Web browser, e.g. on Chrome desktop browsers: Clear cache & cookies
for example, then try again

Stay strong, and good luck! Greetz to Downunder from Switzerland.
In case you can't get through ove the web-page, send an e-mail to customer.service@netgear.com
Should this not workout as expected, chime back here, we will try to help establish a contact for you with Netgear.

Re: Buying spare parts for the MS510TX series switches
All good. Logged out, restarted Firefox and logged back in and submitted ticket.
Will wait for a response.
I took a quick look at the one you linked from that online site e...
From the US, postage was twice the cost of the fan, making the total A$110. lol.
