Re: VLAN membership - Unable to tag/untag port member - GS748TS SWITCH

Hi Makary,

Welcome to the community! 🙂

I suggest you to update the firmware of the GS748TS from v5.2.0.9 to v5.0.2.11.  Be sure to perform a factory reset on the GS748TS after upgrading the firmware then reconfigure it from scratch.  You can download firmware v5.0.2.11 here.

Let us know the results.

@Makary,

I just want to follow-up on this.  Were you able to update the firmware of the GS748TS to v5.0.2.11 then perform a factory reset and reconfigure it from scratch?  If yes, what is the result?

Re: VLAN membership - Unable to tag/untag port member - GS748TS SWITCH

During the disable stack process I got stuck (instruction here).

Before I started:

switch GS748TS - Master Unit; 192.168.1.254,

switch GS724TS - Slave Unit.

I marked:

Change Unit Mode To Standalone After Reset -> Apply

Effect:

switch GS748TS - disappeared in the LAN

switch GS724TS - appeared as 192.168.1.254 (with credential of GS748TS switch).

I cannot access to GS748TS via WEB interface.

Re: VLAN membership - Unable to tag/untag port member - GS748TS SWITCH

I restored GS748TS to factory default and finished firmware update too.

Unit No. Model Name Hardware Version Boot Version Software Version

1GS748TS00.00.011.0.2.0V5.2.0.11

Frame is still missing.

Any other ideas?

From my experience, one of these should work:

1. IE in compatibility view.

2. Firefox 3.6.
3. Safari 5.1.7.

Perfect solution!

Thank You.

Browser IE (Method 3 here).
