Issues with OS 6.4.0 beta

I cannot believe that the shutdown hang issue is not reproducable.

My 104 is hanging up every time, so I had to disable the power timer.

Can I help to recreate and gather the required data? Please provide instructions.

Surely the logical thing to do now is for the devs to whip up a build that has a more verbose log around shutdown to pin down exactly where it stalls. My guess would be something to do with the network driver.

We've been able to reproduce the issue now.  I happens when an RTC alarm or a WoL magic packet comes in while the system is running.  So for example, if you have a poweron scheduled, but you power the machine on manually before the RTC alarm triggers so that the alarm triggers while the box is powered on, then you would experience this issue on RN102, RN104, and RN2120.  It'll be fixed in the next beta.

I had same issue with my RN102, just installed 6.4.1 Beta2 and waiting too see what is happening tomorrow.

But what about the issue where people are not able to install or uninstall apps, and even refreshing apps list is not working.

Anyone seen an answer to this

Thanks for letting us know.
I'm not sure that pattern applied all the time, and I also had it on my ultra4 when it was on 6.4.0 but fingers crossed!!

OK for 2 nights so far... whereas on the other 6.4.1 betas it was hanging every night.

Still same issue on 6.4.1 Beta2, it hangs. I have for now disabled power down and enabled spindown instead

Guys,

I'm experiencing some freeze after 1-2 days from boot.

Memory is not the problem (memory test doesn't report any error on 2 passes).

I'm running a Readynas Pro 8gb ram + 6.4.1 (Final)

Any hints?
