ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
I succesfully upgraded my 516 to the latest T127 Beta 3 release and I altered my readyCloud login as per the instructions.
The device succesfully unregistered from ReadyCloud and can now be seen on the ReadyCloud test webpage instead.
The issue I have now is telling the local OSX ReadyCloud client to use the ReadyCloud Test account, as there is no where to specify which one to use. I did manage to log on with my test credentials, which must mean that it has worked out where to look itself, however it shows my 516 as "offline", which it clearly isn't if you log on to the ReadyCloud webpage.
I also tried the Windows app and this has the same problem, showing my NAS offline.
I am unable to test the new Beta ReadyCloud functionality due to this. Any help would be apprciated.

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
Hi emellodew,
I encountered the same problem and I believe you have tested accessing your ReadyNAS using the desktop app for both Windows and MAC. I used this web link and my ReadyNAS contents showed up. I will have this issue check with our Engineers and for the time being, check if you can access your contents using the same web link mentioned in the Beta Firmware release notes.
Kind regards,

Hi Brian,
Yes the weblink works fine and I can see all of my files, I have lost the connection/sync functionality from both of the desktop clients.

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
When you download the production ReadyCloud client you download it from readycloud.netgear.com
You should be able to download the beta client from readycloud-test2.netgear.com e.g. for Windows: http://readycloud-test2.netgear.com/client/install/ReadyCloudSetup.exe

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
Hi emellodew,
The Windows client from the beta link (MDGM provided) worked fine for me. Let's wait for further updates for the availability of the client for MAC OS X.
Kind regards,

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
Thanks Brian/mgdm,
I understand now. It may be worth updating the release notes for the beta so that there are instructions to update the client application too,
Is there an ETA from the engineering team when a new Beta OS X app will be available to work with the T127 build?

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
So as a further update, and using MDGMs link I have found both the new windows and OS X client on the test2.netgear site.
The URLs for the Windows client is:
http://readycloud-test2.netgear.com/client/install/ReadyCloudSetup.exe
and is version 1.8
The URL for the Mac client is:
http://readycloud-test2.netgear.com/client/install/ReadyCLOUD.pkg
and is version 1.0
Both clients work with the T127 Beta firmware, and the OS X client has fixed the UI rendering issues that were present in the previous beta release.
Both of these clients are new versions not mentioned anywhere on this site, and the Windows Beta is a more recent version than the one listed in the stick at the top of ReadyNas Beta forum.
Can I suggest that in the firmware Beta forum that the new OSX (1.2) and Windows (1.8) beta clients are listed at the top of the beta forum, and the current 1.7 posting is removed and left only in the ReadyCLoud Beta forum, as it does not work with the posted beta firmware.

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
We won't be removing that other thread as there may be some users wanting to use ReadyCLOUD with Windows 10 but that do not wish to try 6.4.0 beta at this time.
Please also note that before you update to the production 6.4.0 release you should disconnect your NAS from the ReadyCLOUD test server and you will also need to install the ReadyCLOUD client from the production ReadyCLOUD server.

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
It may be worth making it clear that version 1.7 won't work with the beta firmware then, or at least posting a sticky for both 1.7 and version 1.8.

I have added a note in RED about this to the ReadyCLOUD beta thread.

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.4.0-T127 - ReadyCloud Desktop App
Yes that is a good point too. I read in another posting that the DEV teams are tying to release the prod apps for OSX and Windows simultaneously when they release the 6.40 firmware. Which will be a good thing, having just realised that if they don't I will have to stay on the beta firmware until they do. LoL. Not an issue though.
If other people are thinking of testing the beta and have a dependency on the OS X client it is worth thinking about before they try the 6.40 release.
