Update failure with OS 6.9.4 T8

I have a RN316 and RN626X both running OS 6.9.3

I have updated the 316 to beta OS 6.9.4 T8 but the 626X refuses to update.

The message on the front panel each of the 4 times I have tried is ERR: Unable to update f/w, or something similar, and the box then reboots back to OS 6.9.3.

Any ideas on how I can get round this issue?

Have you installed apps (or packages with ssh) on the RN628 system?

Perhaps download the log zip file, and look for clues.  Netgear will probably want to see the logs, so perhaps PM @OOM-9

Re: Update failure with OS 6.9.4 T8

The only apps installed on the 626X are SMB Plus and LogAnalyzer, and they are also installed on the 316, so they can't be culprits.

PM sent. Will try to send log once you have responded!

Re: Update failure with OS 6.9.4 T8

There's high usage on the 4GB root volume.

I can see PHP, Rsyslog, MySQL, LogAnalyzer & SMBPlus on the unit.

My guess would be that there could be a large syslog file under /var/log

initrd.log is showing that the update is failing repeatedly:

[2018/05/15 07:00:49 UTC] OS version mismatch [os: 6.9.3(1519800507) / flash: 6.9.4-T8(1525367063)]
