I tried something ("UltraBIOS.dd.img") - sent to me by one of the support people.

There was an incremental improvement (can't recall specifics) but WOL after shutdown via schedule still does not work.

DateCreated (1/19/11) matches up with the above, but but file size (7,849 megs) differs.

The dd image is old, not used anymore, required too much work putting the image on a USB key, etc.
The addon has been used by 30+ people so far with no problems.
I removed your link to the add-on, I'd rather give it out on a case by case basis. Because we have seen some users on here that go and run every add-on they see, without thinking, even when they are not meant for their own systems.

The current WOL issue (not BIOS related) should be fixed in the next firmware build.

Tested after the BIOS update and shut down/wake up according to the power schedule seems to work perfectly.

Haven't been able to test the WOL part, but will do so in the near future.

Trust me, it is fixed. I worked with level-3 support until it was finally resolved in 4.2.16. They referred to it as the WOL Power Timer issue so perhaps, the following is a typo...

Under Bug Fixes:

4. Fixed scheduled wakeup from power timer.

I have this (still).....

Have upgraded from 4.2.15 to .16 to .17 and WOL and the wake-up timer doesn't work. BIOS is 05/26/2010 FLAME6-2 V1.1 according to the logging tool.

It is really, really, really annoying.

Have you contacted Chirpa for upgraded BIOS?

Contact tech support (see Online Submission link in my sig) letting them know the contents of your bios_ver.log and they can provide you with the link to an add-on to update the BIOS.

I contacted support and got the addon. It upgraded the BIOS and that fixed the problem!

my bios version is "05/26/2010 FLAME6-2 V1.1".

I have pm'ed chirpa 3 times about this.
Never got an answer

I have contacted Netgear support, level 1 asked for the bios_ver.log which i supplied, he told me level 3 support will investigate my case and he would contact me again.
Has been 2 weeks since and haven't heard of them

Can anyone help me with this issue.
I'm trying to get help since november 2010.

I have the same issue as Kenneth with support level 1.
The first Case (6 aug, 16339404) they said they had to escalate it.
The second case I opened (18 aug, 16446951), they asked for the logs.
In the case I refered to this thread, but it doesn't look like they read this (or don't have the privileges to do so).

So if possible I would also like to get the update.

I'm experiencing the same issues flagged in this post and my ultra 6 not powering up automatically on schedule or via WOL.
I've checked the bios log and it states I have bios version 05/26/2010 FLAME6-2 V1.1.
Can you please provide me with the bios update addon as described in the posts above.

What version of RAIDiator are you running?

Please update your firmware via System > Update > Remote. I think the BIOS is now updated via a firmware update.
