How to create a backup of every 10th picture in the picture folder
Hi
I am new here, been trying for the last week to figure out how to do this if possible.
Scenario:
- I have Netgear ReadyNAS
--> I have a camera hooked up to it and it takes photos every minute, s extra precuation i want to create a back at night everyday to my ftp server of every 10th picture.
I was using my ftp server created on centos, with a mirror command :
lftp mirror --only-newer -i 0-00.jpg
But for some reason it stopped working, i It logins with my lftp script and the just timesout on the command, prior to today it was working.
so i would like to know if there is a way to let the nas connect to my ftp server and only backup some files ?
Thank you

Welcome to the Community!
With the NAS, the option to only backup files is currently not available but I think this would be a good additional feature. You may want to post on Ideas exchange board.
I have not tried this setup yet but since you said it was working before, are you running the script from the NAS? Have you had any update of firmware? Have you checked your FTP server?
Other users might have tried this setup as well, Hopefully they can chime in to provide us information.
