OneDrive having tmp files uploaded, but not removed

I have an issue in that the RN2304 is set to sync a share to OneDrive, it's set to upload only as effectively it's being used to actively backup the share.

In this share however, I have Adobe Illustrator putting temp files into it, starting ~tmp, but these files are now remaining stored on the drive after they've been deleted from the NAS, and won't go - using all the cloud storage up.

I can't see any settings to exclude these files from the sync, has anyone any suggestions please?
