ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

So this started as one problem but has now become two.

The first problem was (and still is), I can't connect with the ReadyCLOUD app; the disk shows up as "Offline".

I've tried every suggestion there is here on the community and at last I tried the option to "Leave" the cloud in my browser (yes, I understand anything not backed up is lost). That prompted me to sign in again, but that got me stuck in a loop forcing me to put in my credentials again and again, and nothing happens.

I can sign in to my account in the browser and I can get the browser to recognize my NAS, but if I try to "Manage", I'm stuck in that credentials-loop. And I can't register my Device again (see attached image)

I have the latest firmware and the latest version of the app.

SPECS:

Model version: V6.1.9

mac OS High Sierra. 10.13.2

Model: RN10200|ReadyNAS 100 Series 2-Bay (Diskless)

Hi Vanzant,

Can you try leaving and rejoining your NAS to the Readycloud? Please also check if there is a check mark on Internet and Service on the Cloud tab of the NAS admin page.

May I know also what is the version of your desktop app for Mac?

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

Hi Vanzant,

Welcome to the Community!

You may try logging in to the NAS admin page and then go to the Clouds tab. Please check if there is green check mark beside the Internet Available and Services Available fields under Cloud tab.

You may also try assigning a static DNS on your NAS. You can use 8.8.8.8 for the DNS.

If your NAS firmware is still on 6.1.9, you need to update it to 6.9.1. For the firmware update path, you must update it first to either 6.2.5 or 6.3.5 then to 6.5.2 then onto 6.9.1. You may download the firmware here.

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

Hi John!

Thank you for your reply!

I can't log in to the NAS admin page since nothing happens when I put in my username and password. It's just that same loop telling me to login again.

Regards.

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

Hi Vanzant,

May I know which account are you using to login to the NAS admin page? Are you using the local admin account or your Readycloud account?

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

Hi Vanzant,

You should be able to access the NAS local admin page using the local admin account. Can you try logging in using the local admin account? The username is admin and password is password by default.

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

Sorry, I missed that you hade answered.

I could log in with the admin and password and sign in to ReadyCoud again.

Still can't log in with the desktop app and there's no volumes showing at the "Home" tab.

I tried setting to static. I'm attaching screenshots because I may have put in the adress in the wrong field.

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

Eureka!

Finally it works. Many thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.

The app was at the latest version and there was green check marks. What seemed to do the trick was leaving and rejoining the cloud.

The first time I did that though, I got stuck in that sign in loop, but now when I signed with "admin" and "password", it worked.

Best regards,

Vanzant

How do you leave and rejoin?  I don't see that option on the Cloud tab of the Admin page in my NAS.

@appierro

You should be able to see a 'Leave' button after you joined the NAS to Readycloud.

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

My issue is that I'm unable to turn ReadyCLOUD on.  When I attempt to switch it on, I try and log in with my ID but get the error message "Something is preventing ReadyNAS from communicating with the ReadyCLOUD server".

Re: ReadyCLOUD app is offline and I can't manage in browser

@appierro

You may try using another Readycloud account and see if you will still get the same issue.

Since this is already a different issue, it will be best that you create a new thread about this.
