After installing Wordpress, cannot configure
I have installed the Wordpress on my 104 running OS 6.5.1, but one installed I can ot configure it. Is I select Settings, I get an error establishing database connection. I have installed MySQL, PHP and My PHPAdmin.
I cannot find any instructions as to what prereqs are needed and how to access the wp-config.php file.
Any ideas where I start?
Regards
Pete

Re: After installing Wordpress, cannot configure
Pete:
I think this is more a Wordpress isue vs. a ReadyNAS issue. I am fairly new to both but have a couple of suggestions.
First, check out the WordPress Codex for a lot of helpful information. You can read their tips on setting up a WordPress instance here.
I would also suggest you take a look at XAMP which may be needed to get WordPress up and running on a ReadyNAS. Here is a link to that site;
https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html
Hope that helps.

David

Re: After installing Wordpress, cannot configure
Thanks, but no, this isn't a wordpress issue. I install and configure wordpress regularlly.
The current install of wordpress on a normal webserver goes through a configuration process (automated or manual) before accessing a database. The implementation in the Netgear App has already configured the database names etc otherwise it wouldn't have a problem establishing a database connection.
I need to know how to configure this version of wordpress when you do no have access to the source.

Pete
