Could you confirm that the newest BIOS for Ultra4 (RNDU4000) and Pro4 (RNDP4000) is exactly the same, I mean:

In the name there is RN_Ultra4 (not RN_Pro4), that is why I'am asking.

I assume you need to know this to update because your're running OS6.x and need to update manually. If you are using the package in OS4.2.x, it will choose the right one, or none if it's not supported.

I don't have a Pro4, but the DMI data for the unit should tell you. Look for the /sys/class/dmi/id/board_name in bios_ver.log in the downloaded log zip file. The package checks for DMI_BOARD = "ReadyNAS-NVX-V2".

I actually think you are correct, that a Pro4 and an Ultra4Plus are identical, except the data in the flash tells the Ultra not to enable the "pro" functionality of OS4.2.x and the Ultra4 is the same board, but with a single-core Atom processor instead of dual-core. But don't do anything based on what I think.

Oops, look under /sys/class/dmi/id/product_version. Note that this is only in that file in OS6. But you don't need to find out for OS4.2.x.
