Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
I am unable to update Photos II to 1.0.5 via Frontview in the Available area.
Where can I download the addon from? I cannot find it on the Readynas site other than the original addon.
Thanks.

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
You want to go to the Add-ons/Install tab and update from there.

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
As yoh-dah mentioned under Add-ons > Installed > ReadyNAS Photos II you'll see in the bottom left a notice that an update is available.
It's one of the nice improvements from the overhaul of the add-on GUI management in Frontview.
Each time you go to Add-ons > Installed, the ReadyNAS (provided the addons are new enough) will check a URL on the web which will tell it whether an update is available. If there is, the notice about an available update will be displayed. If you want to learn more about how add-ons work you can take a look at http://www.readynas.com/sdk
The SDK was updated with the improvements earlier this year.
The Add-ons > Available section in Frontview is only for add-ons that aren't yet installed, not for updates to already installed add-ons.

I have followed both your instructions and cannot find an update link nor notice prompting me to update the addon.
Any ideas?

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
That's odd because you should.
Have you tried clearing your web browser cache?
Have you ensured the DNS and Gateway settings under Network > Interfaces in Frontview are correct?

Cleared browser cache and still the same DNS settings are correct. They point to my ISP's DNS servers.

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
So you're able to send email alerts and/or check for a update via System > Update > Remote fine?
Edit: What version of the add-on are you currently running?

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
I'm wondering if I could resolve the problem by updating to the latest beta firmware. 4.2.20-T7.

Can you post a screenshot of your Add-ons/Installed page? Possible you need to scroll down?

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
Any chance that you can take the box to a different environment with a different router and check? We just verified with 1.0.4 and it does show 1.0.5 as an available update. Just thinking something is blocking the checks.

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
I have a WNDR 3700 router. What port or service could be blocking this?

It shouldn't but I'm just wondering why the Update check is not working for you. Alternatively, you can install 1.0.5 manually from the Add-ons/Add New page. Here's the link to the add-on page for Photos II: http://www.readynas.com/?p=5599

Re: Can't find Photos II 1.0.5 Update
Will a manual update wipe-out my existing photo database? In any case, I will setup a backup in Photos II before doing the update.

Is it possible to get access to your NAS ? I would like to determine the reason for not seeing the update widgets.
Thanks,
Venu
