ReadyNAS Photos II image import hangs whole RN314
Hi,
I tring to import my 4300+ photos to Photos II.
Twice result has been totally unresponsive box. First time image 172 was last loaded and second time 43.
Box breaks active ssh connection, GUI doesn't answer, stll response to ping.
Pressing power button doesn't light to display.
Only option is press power button 5 secs.
After restart GUI is not responding, box is not listen port 443.
How to fix this is:
apt-get remove photos2
Boot Menu -> Reinstall OS
If I just to Reinstall OS, GUI doesn't be fixed.
I have opened case to netgear of this, case number is: 22101941
My OS is latest 6.1.3 level.
Does anyone have played with Photos II already?
Does anyone have an idea what is broken, seems like apache doesn't work anymore?
BR,
-Jukka- 😞

Anyone else besides Jukka run into this issue. We've tried to replicate and can't. So any additional data points would be great. Any one try to import with success?

Re: ReadyNAS Photos II image import hangs whole RN314
Import process is very memory hog.
If I upload 240 images, it takes around 25 minutes.
In this time, system kills rnp2factory process 5 times because it has used all memory.
This sound quite poorly behaving program.

I know this is an old thread, but the import bug was addressed.
Update to the latest Photos II app and you should be good.

Re: ReadyNAS Photos II image import hangs whole RN314
There should be version 2.0.1, I got from the support to test in mid December. Import worked fine with that one.
I was forced to remove and reinstall Photos2 and version what system found was 2.0.0 so I upgraded it to 2.0.1 which I had saved in my PC.
JabbaTheHutt, is that 2.0.1 version put to official distribution?

Re: ReadyNAS Photos II image import hangs whole RN314
There is no version 2.0.1 available yet for public, not at least for my device.
One could take a look at here:

Waiting for answer...hang on...waiting for answer...

Re: ReadyNAS Photos II image import hangs whole RN314
There was a 2.0.1 build made to check if 2.0.1 fixed specific bugs. Still checking if 2.0.1 went through all the release steps to be published or not.

Re: ReadyNAS Photos II image import hangs whole RN314
Hello,
Has there been any progress in the release process for a version 2.0.1?
It would be so great to get most of the bugs of the 2.0.0 fixed.

Guys, whats going on here? This is kind of ridiculus. Its now half year ago. I understand, that this is not in your focus but the addon is kind of worthless right now. Sorry for beeing so rude but i think, i was very patient...
