Hello at all.
Last year I updated my ReadyNas Pro 4 by installing 1024 Mb ram and OS 6.
Now I have OS ver. 6.10.2 and it mounts 4 disks of 3TB and I have enabled Encryption.
All work well but now I would like to upgrade with 4 new 10TB disks.
Given the cost of 4 new disks (about 1000 dollars) I wanted to be sure that these
disks will be seen by the operating system and fully usable.
Can I safely proceed with the purchase?
Many thanks

12TB should not be a problem 🙂 The limitation is not present on OS6 FW

Since you have upgraded your Legacy NAS to OS 6 it should be able to take on higher capacity disks like the one you have, It would be best if it's a NAS purposed drive.

Re: Can I install 4 new 10Tbyte disks on ReadyNas pro 4 with OS 6.10.2 and 1024 Mbyte ram
I Marc,
I would like to use Western Digital RED type disks suitable for NAS.
So do I go with the safe purchase that I can use them?
Could I also use the 12Tb WD RED or even the 14TB WD RED?
What do you say?
